Trauma doesn’t just live in our memories, it’s stored in our bodies. Every time you have been activated and couldn’t fully process it, the energy of that experience got stored in your nervous system as a way to keep you safe. That’s what is called a trauma loop - a survival pattern that never got to finish its cycle. Instead of completing and releasing, that energy stays active beneath the surface and overtime it shows up as chronic tension, unrelenting anxiety, emotional numbness, hypervigilance, even disease.

Somatic breathwork helps those stored loops find completion. As oxygen and energy move through the body, stored emotions and stress begin to rise - not to overwhelm you, but to release and complete their cycle. Through connected, circular breathing, the body reactivates its natural mechanisms for healing - the same ones that were interrupted during moments of past stress or trauma. What was once suppressed is now met with safety and love as it discharges the weight it no longer needs to carry.

And it’s not always about clearing trauma. Often, what emerges beneath the layers is creativity, empowerment, clarity, connectivity and joy - the natural expression that returns once survival energy dissolves. Each session meets you exactly where you are, revealing what your body is ready to process or remember.

My approach weaves somatic and trauma informed principles with an intuitive, shamanic undertone. I use music, chanting, touch and Reiki to help guide the energy through as your body unwinds old stories and brings new ones to light. Every session looks different because your body leads the way.

People often describe it as years of therapy in a single session - a profound fusion of physical release, emotional clarity, and spiritual reconnection. Some cry. Some laugh. Others feel a deep stillness they haven’t felt in years. Others say it’s freeing - like closing open tabs that have been running in the background for years.

Talk therapy helps us understand our patterns. Breathwork helps us release them. And that is where integration happens - when the body finally catches up to what the mind has known all along.

love notes

  • My experience was otherworldly. I felt really in tune with my emotions and was able to let go of past hurt. I felt like this has healed some internal scars I knew I had but didn’t want to acknowledge but because of you - I was able to let go. Thank you. After experiencing such deep emotion and feeling like I could let go, I felt content.

  • It feels like a couple of areas that hadn't fully been cleared got their release in our session. I feel a sense of being lighter and even more open energetically. You created a calm, welcoming and loving space for the session. During, I could feel the releases of old stories and shame towards myself, shedding them through tears and breath. And as they energetically left me, bringing me to this higher belief/ knowing, accepting forgiveness for myself, acknowledging beliefs in my highest good. Then the most amazing feeling, I was no longer in my physical body at all. My consciousness was in my ethereal body, feeling the weight of supporting my physical body. I don't think I can find the words to fully explain how it felt, or what it meant to me, but it was blissful, and I feel as if it has unlocked a new layer.

  • During the session, your guidance was steady and gentle, and you made sure I felt comfortable and supported. I could tell you were very focused and attentive, which helped me relax and trust the process.

FAQS

  • Somatic breathwork is a guided practice that uses a connected, circular breathing pattern to help the body release stored stress, emotion, and trauma. It shifts the body out of the mind’s control and into the wisdom of the nervous system, allowing stuck energy and patterns to complete their cycle.

  • It is for anyone who’s ready to come home to their body, and finally feel safe there again. For the ones who’ve been in therapy, done the mindset work, and understand their story but still feel trapped inside it. For the high functioning, overthinking, always “on” nervous systems craving rest. For those carrying tension, emotional weight, or a sense of disconnection from their truth or emotions. For the high achiever who’s tired of holding it all together. For anyone ready to feel more alive - more creative, grounded, expressed, and free.

Breathwork meets you exactly where you are. Sometimes it brings release and other times, it opens creativity, clarity, empowerment, or deep peace.

  • Breathwork can be intense for the body and nervous system, so there are some contraindications (situations or conditions where a certain style of breathwork may not be recommended or should be practiced only with medical clearance).

Contraindications don’t mean you can’t do breathwork - they simply help me choose the right level of practice for your body. In my sessions, safety comes first. That’s why I begin with an intake form and conversation to understand your health history so I can tailor the session to be a supportive fit for you.

  • I offer sessions both in person and online (Zoom).

In person sessions are held in Laguna Beach, California, where I integrate chanting, hands on somatic touch, energy work, and Reiki (with consent) to support deeper nervous system regulation and release. These sessions are ideal if you’re wanting to experience the full sensory and energetic component of the work.

Online (Zoom) sessions are just as powerful - they simply look a little different. There is no physical touch or Reiki, but the same level of verbal guidance, safety, and energetic depth is present. You’ll be guided through the breath, body awareness, and integration practices from the comfort of your own space.

  • We start with a short conversation to set your intention and help your body feel safe. Then you’ll be guided through a rhythmic breath pattern with music, verbal cues, and moments of stillness. I use gentle, consent based touch, reiki and vocal guidance to support energy release. We end with grounding and integration so your system can settle and absorb the experience.

  • Every session is different. Some people experience physical sensations such as tingling, feeling hot or cold, even tetany. Others cry, laugh, scream, shake, or feel deep stillness. These are all signs that your body is releasing. Most people leave feeling lighter, grounded, and more at peace in their body.

  • Tetany is a common physical response during somatic breathwork where the hands, mouth, or feet may tighten, cramp, or tingle. This happens because deep breathing temporarily changes carbon dioxide levels in the blood, which can shift the body’s pH and activate the nervous system. For some, that can cause muscles to contract or feel “stuck.” While this is a natural physiological response, it is also a sign of energy or emotion moving through the body and the nervous system completing what it once held.

Tetany is safe and temporary. It subsides within minutes after the breath slows or normalizes. The key is to stay present, soften your jaw and shoulders, and remind your body that it’s safe.

  • Come with -

    • an open mind

    • a relatively empty stomach (no heavy meal 1 - 2 hours before)

    • a yoga mat, a blanket, a pillow, eye mask, water, chapstick

    • comfortable clothing - a sweatshirt and socks if you get cold easily

    • a journal and a pen (for reflection afterward)

    • optional - anything that helps you feel safe or grounded like a crystal, stuffed animal, etc.

Please find a distraction free space - give yourself at least 2 hours with no interruptions. Be in a safe, quiet environment where you can relax as well as express yourself fully.

  • Your intention is the energetic compass of your session. It’s a direction for your awareness to move toward. It’s less about controlling the session and more about creating a sacred container for the work to unfold.

    It might be:

    • something you want to release (core wounding, trauma, fear, etc.)

    • something you want to call in

    • a feeling you want to connect with like peace, clarity, or safety.

Sometimes your intention will stay with you the whole journey. Other times, it will evolve as your body reveals what it truly needs.

  • You may feel deeply relaxed, emotional, or energized. It’s normal to feel sensitive for a day or two as your system integrates. Drink plenty of water, partake in gentle movement, spend time in nature, and rest. I’ll share aftercare guidance to help your body and nervous system continue to regulate - journaling being a big one!

  • Some people see me monthly, others weekly, and some just when they feel called. It depends on your goals and nervous system capacity. Breathwork is most effective when paired with grounding and integration practices between sessions.
